1. CFR is located just outside I-495 (the Beltway), at the point where I-270 splits, very near to Montgomery Mall - Westfield Shopping Center.
2. Coming from the East (Silver Spring, College Park, etc)
on the Beltway (I-495):
a. From I-495, follow I-270 North.
b. Take the second exit (Rockledge Drive).
c. At the top of the ramp, turn left at the light and cross over I-270.
d. After the overpass, turn right onto Rockledge Drive.
e. Drive between the first two buildings and turn left at the STOP sign into the parking lot that is behind them.
f. Our laboratory is in the building on your left as you drive between the two.
g. Turn left into the section of Visitor Parking nearest the back of the building. Two
parking spaces on the right are reserved for our laboratory (Child & Family Research
Section) or use any other Visitor space that is available.
h. Enter the back of the building; take the elevator to the 8th floor, Suite 8030.
3. Coming south on I-270 from Gaithersburg, Darnestown, etc.:
a. At the split, stay to the left, heading toward Silver Spring, etc.
b. Exit at Rockledge Drive. Turn right off of the ramp.
c. Turn right onto Rockledge Drive.
d. Drive between the first two buildings and turn left at the STOP sign into the parking lot that is behind them.
e. Our laboratory is in the building on your left as you drive between the two.
f. Turn left into the section of Visitor Parking nearest the back of the building. Two
parking spaces on the right are reserved for our laboratory (Child & Family Research
Section) or use any other Visitor space that is available.
g. Enter the back of the building; take the elevator to the 8th floor, Suite 8030.
4. Coming from D.C. or Maryland, not using I-495 or I-270:
a. Travel to Old Georgetown Road. Head North (away from Downtown Bethesda).
b. After passing under the beltway, turn left at the 5th stoplight (0.9 mile from the Beltway) onto Rock Spring Drive (just after the Giant on the left).
c. Go to the end of Rock Spring Drive, turn right onto Fernwood Road, and then turn right onto Rockledge Drive.
d. After Lockheed Martin on your left, turn left into the driveway between the next two symmetrical buildings, called Rockledge Centre. Follow directions in 2d-g above.
